The Art of Becoming a Character

The Art of Becoming a Character

From Tue 03 November Ore 16:30 until Ore 18:00

How is a character created? What is the relationship between cinema and theatre? And what can Luchino Visconti’s artistic legacy still teach us today?

On Tuesday, 3 November, at 4:30 p.m., Francesco Di Leva will be in conversation with Alessandro Preziosi at Villa La Colombaia, in a meeting dedicated to the art of acting and the work behind every performance.

Francesco Di Leva, a Neapolitan actor, has won two David di Donatello Awards for Best Supporting Actor: in 2023 for Nostalgia and in 2025 for Familia. Alongside his film career, he is strongly committed to theatre, including through Nest – Napoli Est Teatro, which he founded in the San Giovanni a Teduccio district of Naples.

Alessandro Preziosi, an actor in theatre, film and television, became widely known to the public through the TV series Elisa di Rivombrosa. Over the years, he has pursued a career ranging from the great theatrical classics to film and television productions.

Two different artistic journeys exploring the actor’s craft, the creation of a character and the dialogue between different forms of expression.

Moderated by Gennaro Bianco.
