Biblioteca Antoniana

L'Istituzione, voluta e fortemente sostenuta da Mons. Onofrio Buonocore, autore peraltro di numerose pubblicazioni sull'isola d'Ischia, nel 1956, poi costituitasi in ente morale, è oggi diventata "Biblioteca Comunale", come prevedeva lo statuto; e gli opportuni lavori di restauro hanno avviato ultimamente il sicuro rilancio di questo importante Centro di Cultura, l'unico nel suo genere esistente nell'isola d'Ischia.
Essa si trova in località "La Mandra" ad Ischia Ponte, presso la Chiesa di S. Antonio dei Frati Minori, donde la denominazione "Antoniana", che è stata giustamente conservata nella nuova configurazione.
