TIFEO – THE SLEEPING GIANT: THE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN

The events of the second edition of “Tifeo – The Sleeping Giant” have officially begun. The project accompanies residents and visitors on a journey to discover the Forio area through trails, nature, history, culture and traditions.
The images from the first routes mark the beginning of a journey that will continue until December 18, with new events dedicated to discovering and promoting the most evocative and authentic places in our area.

Organized by the Municipality of Forio in collaboration with Actus Tragicus.

The Green Tuff Trail

Descending from Frassitelli, the trail passes through the Falanga woods, a chestnut grove that was once a vineyard in centuries past, as evidenced by the rock-hewn wine presses, stone houses, dry-stone walls known as “parracine”, and snow pits. The trail ends in Santa Maria, with its 18th-century little church.
